Who we are
JazzSync is a jazz piano learning app made by Dima, a jazz pianist and teacher. The person responsible for your data is DMusic. You can reach us at any time at [email protected].
What we collect today
JazzSync has not opened yet. Right now the only personal data we collect is from the waiting list:
- your email address, which you type in yourself;
- the page you joined from (for example the home page or a blog lesson), so we know which pages help people find us;
- the date and time you joined.
We use it for one thing: to email you when JazzSync opens and when the Founder seats go on sale. We send only messages about JazzSync, never spam, and every email has a way to unsubscribe. We do not sell, rent or share your email with anyone for their own marketing.
We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
What we don’t do
- No advertising and no tracking. These pages have no advertising, no analytics tools and no tracking cookies.
- Nothing saved in your browser. The public pages (home, blog, Founders, forum, this page) store nothing in your browser.
- The help chat stays on your device. Its answers come from a list built into the page; what you type is not sent or saved.
- The playable examples in the blog run in your browser and send nothing to us.
Where your data is kept, and who helps us
- Supabase stores the waiting list in its data centre in Ireland, in the European Union.
- Cloudflare delivers these web pages. Like every web host, it handles your IP address to send you the page.
- Google Fonts provides the typefaces of these pages, so your browser asks Google’s servers for them, which shows Google your IP address. We plan to host the fonts ourselves.
These services act on our instructions and keep your data secure. Some of them may handle data outside the country you live in, under the legal protections they provide for such transfers.
Your rights
Write to [email protected] at any time to:
- see what we have stored about you;
- correct it;
- have it deleted;
- stop our emails (or use the unsubscribe link in any email).
We answer within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Young pianists
If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before you join the waiting list.
When the app opens
When JazzSync opens, you will be able to create an account. Then we will also store what the app needs to work: your name or nickname, your settings, and your practice results (answers, scores, takes and progress), so you can follow your progress on any device. Payments will be handled by a payment provider; we will never see or store your card number. Before the app opens we will update this page and tell everyone on the waiting list what changed.
Changes to this page
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top. For important changes we will also email you.
